1 - Does CamPro retail projectiles directly to users?
Our distributors will be delighted to serve you. However, if your region is not covered by our distributors, we can help you obtain CamPro products.
2 - What's the difference between FCP (Full Copper Plated) and FMJ (Full Metal Jacketed) projectiles?
In the case of FCP bullets, the copper coating is obtained by an electrolytic process. The projectile is therefore completely copper-coated. In the case of FMJ projectiles, the copper coating is obtained by mechanical means from a copper foil. The base of the projectile is not copper-clad, and the lead is visible. CamPro sells FCP projectiles and a few calibres of FMJ projectiles.
3 - How thick is the copper coating on CamPro projectiles?
The thickness of the copper coating on CamPro projectiles is 8 thousandths of an inch (203 microns). The copper thickness of small-calibre CamPro projectiles (for short barrels) is 6 thousandths of an inch (152 microns). In normal industrial practice, copper is only 3 thousandths of an inch (76 microns) thick.
4 - Can standard loads for FMJ projectiles be used for CamPro projectiles?
Yes, standard FMJ loads are used for CamPro projectiles, whose 8 thousandths of an inch (203 microns) thick copper coating behaves like the copper in conventional FMJ projectiles.
5 - Can magnum loads be used with CamPro projectiles?
Yes, magnum loads can be used with CamPro projectiles due to the high thickness of the 8 thousandths of an inch (203 microns) copper coating.
6 - Where can I find reloading data for CamPro projectiles?
Reloading tables are available in each projectile file. If you have any further questions, please contact us at: [email protected] For safety reasons, always start with low loads and build up gradually.
7 - What are the total lengths (OAL) of the various CamPro projectiles?
9 mm 124 gr RN and 9 mm 115 gr RN 1.120" OAL general
28.45 mm total length; overall 9 mm 124 gr HP 1.090″ OAL
28.194 mm total length; general
9 mm 147 gr RNFP
1.090″ OAL and 0.376 crimp
With this length (AOL) you can also feed a competition gun with a tight chamber diameter.
26.924 mm overall length and 9.550 mm crimp
With this overall length you can also feed a competition weapon with a tight chamber diameter.
40 – 180 gr
1.130 and crimping from 0.415 to 0.420
28.702 mm total length and crimping from 10.541 to 10.668 mm

9 - What are your comments on the weight stability of CamPro projectiles?
All CamPro bullets are forged in a carbide die. The result is weight stability. Die-forging eliminates the trapping of air bubbles inside projectiles. The latter phenomenon is very common in projectiles with cast cores.
10 - What are your comments on the dimensional stability of CamPro projectiles?
All CamPro bullets are forged in a carbide die to maintain dimensional and shape stability.
11 - What is the diameter of the CamPro 223 55 gr FMJ projectile?
The diameter of the CamPro 223 55 gr FMJ projectile is 0.224 inch and it is FMJ. Metric The diameter of the CamPro 223 - 3.564 gram FMJ projectile is 5.690 mm and it is FMJ.
12 - What is the diameter of the CamPro 9 mm 147 gr projectile? Can it be used in a 38 super weapon?
The interval is 0.3545 min. - 0.3555 max. (9.0043 min. - 9.0297 max mm) depending on die wear, but the projectiles in each box have the same diameter because they come from the same production batch. SAAMI gives 0.3525 min. - 0.3555 max. (8.9535 min. - 9.0297 max. mm). We never go down to the minimum, and as soon as the die reaches 0.3555 (9.0297 mm) due to wear, we stop using it for production. Because we produce for different customers with different weapons, we keep the diameter within the range to meet different needs without affecting the production process.
